“Joy To The World”: Peace Song for 8/21/2011

The Duke Sings "Joy To The World"

The Royal Peace Song of the Day for Sunday, August 21st is “Joy to the World”, aka “Jeremiah Was a Bullfrog”. The song was written by Hoyt Axton, and made famous by the band Three Dog Night.

The Duke and Duchess took a lovely walk in a nature park near our home. Between the joy of nature, and the site of many dogs, Duke Augustus came up with this wonderful, singable, song of the day.

Excerpt of lyrics:

Jeremiah was a bullfrog / Was a good friend of mine…

If I were the king of the world / Tell you what I’d do / I’d throw away the cars and the bars and the war / Make sweet love to you…
