Peace Song of the Day for Father’s Day 2012

Cat’s In The Cradle” by Sandy and Harry Chapin is the Peace Song of the Day for Father’s Day. We dedicate with lots of love to fathers, though the song is somewhat of a “warning song” to busy dads to spend more time with their families. Though, the song also contains many beautiful father-son images, and an overall spirit of profound love.

Another beautiful reason to share this song on Father’s Day, is the story of this wonderful family. Harry Chapin, a beloved national artist from Long Island, passed away too soon. Though, for all these decades, his wife and family have been passionate and careful in keeping his memory vibrant, including continuing charity work in his name, and creating a website with excellent resources for his music. by Sandy & Harry Chapin
(excerpt from lyrics)

The chorus:

And the cat’s in the cradle and the silver spoon,
Little boy blue and the man in the moon.
“When you coming home, dad?” “I don’t know when,
But we’ll get together then.
